2008 Baseball Hall of Fame electee announcement and press conference to air live on BaseballHall.org and MLB.com

NEW YORK -- MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball,announced today that it will present a live exclusive broadcast from its Manhattan studios of theofficial announcement of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum's 2008 election results,as voted by the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA), beginning at 1:30 p.m. (EST)on Tuesday, January 8, on BaseballHall.org and MLB.com.

Following a preview show hosted by MLB.com's Casey Stern and former Major League All-StarHarold Reynolds, the live unveiling of the voting results for the Class of 2008 will be made by Hallof Fame President Dale Petroskey. Stern and Reynolds will conclude the exclusive Hall of Fameannouncement programming with complete analysis of the BBWAA election results andinterviews.

Should an eligible player or players receive the minimum number of votes for election, MLB.comwill provide a live video broadcast of the Hall of Fame Class of 2008's introductory pressconference in New York on Wednesday, January 9 at 12:00 p.m. (EST). Following the pressconference coverage, Reynolds will sit down for the first live interview with the Hall of Fame'snewest electee(s) at 3:30 p.m. (EST) on MLB.com.
