Anthony Rendon Credits Homer to Mullet

When baseball players have great games they credit their loved ones, coaches and their ability to persevere. Crediting one’s hair, however, is a first.

But that is essentially what Nationals rookie Anthony Rendon did after his first Major League home run in the ninth inning of Saturday’s game against the Indians. Rendon proudly sports a mullet deemed his party-style hair and agrees that it is “kind of phenomenal.” So phenomenal he now considers it “rally hair.” But with the 23-year-old hitting .344 with an OPS of .917 and seven doubles in his first 18 Major League games, perhaps more players should be sporting the mullet as it certainly appears to be working!
