At Bat unveils PiP video streaming for iPad

NEW YORK, September 17, 2015 - MLB.com At Bat for iPhone and iPad, designed, built and distributed by the award-winning mobile developer MLBAM, has been updated to support the release of iOS 9 and among other features included its latest fan-friendly feature for watching baseball video - Picture-in-Picture streaming for iPad.

It marks the first time this functionality - including both live video through MLB.TV and the MLB.TV Game of the Day and the hundreds of on-demand game highlights delivered daily - has been made available on a mobile device.

Features like Picture-in-Picture continue to drive fan interest, evidenced as fans overwhelmingly continue to make MLB.com At Bat the top sports mobile app in user consumption. According to comScore, At Bat has ranked first in total minutes consumed among all sports mobile apps each month since April. The latest comScore monthly rankings issued this week for August had fan usage of At Bat last month 22 percent higher than the second place app and 104 percent higher than the app ranking third

At Bat also will be updated with support for watchOS2 when it is made available and will have its annual Postseason update coming later this month.
