BaseballSoftballUK to host opening ceremony at Farnham Park Sports Ground

Baseball Tomorrow Fund awarded a $160,000 USD grant to support the construction of a youth baseball and softball facility

WHAT: BaseballSoftballUK will hold an opening ceremony for their new baseball and softball facility at the Farnham Park Sports Ground beginning at 3:00 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time on Saturday, July 20th. The Baseball Tomorrow Fund provided a grant in the amount of $160,000 USD to finance the construction of a baseball complex that includes two regulation baseball fields and three youth fields in Farnham Park, Buckinghamshire. The new facility will also support the creation of a new after-school program in the community and a girls fast-pitch softball league. The complex will be considered the “home” of British baseball and softball and will host local, regional and national tournaments and training for more than 1,000 youth, ages 8-16, year-round.

the British Baseball Federation and British Softball Federation. Currently, approximately 2,700 youth and 14,000 adults participate in organized baseball in the United Kingdom.
