Bichette wins Derby at Under Armour All-America Game

CHICAGO -- Bo Bichette showed Saturday afternoon that power runs in his family.

Bichette, the son of former Major Leaguer and Blake Street Bomber Dante Bichette, won the Eastbay Home Run Derby before Saturday's 2015 Under Armour All-America Game, powered by Baseball Factory, at Wrigley Field.

"It's awesome. I don't think there's anything much better than [winning a home run derby at Wrigley Field]," said Bichette, a 6-foot, 200-pound infielder from Lakewood High School in Florida. "Definitely a cool experience."

Each of the eight participants had two minutes to hit in the opening round. The right-handed-hitting Bichette launched six to advance to the finals against Joey Wentz, a 6-foot-5 lefty from Shawnee Mission East High School in Kansas, who hit seven in the opening round.

Bichette got on a roll in the championship round -- which included a quick break when he lost the grip of his bat and it flew into the stands -- and hit 10 in two minutes. Wentz finished with seven.
