Bruce Chen Plays Catch with Young Fan

I've been blessed with the opportunity to meet a lot of baseball players here in the MLB Fan Cave, but one thing that I have not yet had the chance to do is play catch with one. And trust me it's on the bucket list.

With that said, some young fans have been able to cross it off theirs this season. Before yesterday's game between the Oakland Athletics and the Kansas City Royals, Bruce Chen decided to play catch with a young fan, becoming the fourth MLB player to do so this season. At one point in the video, the camera goes directly behind the young fan, while Chen squats, wanting a strike to his glove. And sure enough, lo and behold, the fan delivers!

At the end, Chen tosses the ball back to the kids, who can't wash the smile off their faces, as the crowd in right field gives a big applause. Chen now joins Derek Lowe, Gio Gonzalez and Hyun-Jin Ryu, who have all decided to play catch with fans. What a great way to interact! I'll be working on my fastball, hoping a player might just pick me next!
