Clayton Kershaw "Doesn't just pitch, he makes history" in new "For the Love of Baseball" TV spot

Reigning AL Cy Young Award Winner Clayton Kershaw - who returned to the Dodgers on Tuesday with a strong seven-inning, nine strikeout performance - is the star of the newest creative spot from Major League Baseball's "For the Love of Baseball" campaign.

Celebrating the historic achievements Kershaw has accomplished in his young career, the spot places him among some of the greatest left-handed pitchers of all-time. While showcasing all-time greats including Steve Carlton, Whitey Ford, Randy Johnson, Sandy Koufax and Warren Spahn, among others, the spot points out that Kershaw is the only left-handed pitcher to ever capture two Cy Young Awards before the age of 26, ending with the tagline, "Kershaw doesn't just pitch, he makes history."

The new creative debuts today on MLBFanCave.com and MLB.com and will appear throughout the season on ESPN, FOX, FOX Sports 1, TBS, MTV2 and MLB Network.

The "For the Love of Baseball" campaign, created by BBDO, celebrates everything that makes baseball special showcasing the personalities and unique abilities of some of the game's biggest stars.

Kershaw joins Bryce Harper, Andrew McCutchen, David Price and Mike Trout in being featured in the campaign. Additional player-specific creative featuring more of the game's top players, including Robinson Cano and Prince Fielder among others, will roll out throughout the season.
