Red Sox projected to beat Yankees on offense

Welcome to DraftKings fantasy baseball, the Official Daily Fantasy Game of Major League Baseball.

The players listed below could provide difference-making stats for DraftKings participants on Thursday.

Travis Shaw (Red Sox): The rookie first baseman will be set to display his power when he brings his .999 OPS against left-handers (.735 vs. righties) into a matchup with Yankees southpaw CC Sabathia at hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium. Since the outset of the 2013 season, Sabathia has posted a 4.85 ERA, and he has allowed 66 homers across 68 starts.

Jackie Bradley Jr. (Red Sox): This season, the outfielder -- who is hitting .313 since Aug. 9 -- has posted a .961 OPS against left-handers in comparison to an .818 mark vs. righties. Bradley Jr. may reach base often and drive in multiple runs when he faces Sabathia (4.82 ERA, 1.41 WHIP in 2015).

Mookie Betts (Red Sox): Hitting .293 with 16 homers, 90 runs and 20 steals across 631 plate appearances this season, the outfielder possesses the diverse skill set that DraftKings participants covet. Betts could contribute in multiple ways when he brings his balanced season-to-date splits into a matchup with Sabathia (4.69 FIP in 2015).

Ben Zobrist (Royals): This season, Zobrist has registered a .957 OPS against left-handers in comparison to a .754 mark vs. righties. He could reach base often and score multiple runs when he tangles with Danks (career 4.31 ERA, 1.34 WHIP). Also of note: Zobrist and his teammates will attempt to put balls into play against a White Sox squad that ranks 28th in the Majors with a .673 defensive efficiency ratio.

Jose Bautista (Blue Jays): Since the outset of the 2010 season, the outfielder has used a patient, powerful approach to build a .268/.389/.558 slash line against right-handers. Bautista could rip a round-tripper and drive in multiple runs when he visits homer-happy Camden Yards to face rookie righty Tyler Wilson (1.34 WHIP).

Edwin Encarnacion (Blue Jays): From the cleanup spot in the highest-scoring lineup in baseball, the first baseman will be poised to drive in multiple runs when he faces the inexperienced Wilson (35 innings) at Baltimore's hitter-friendly venue. Since Aug. 1, Encarnacion has hit .339 with 17 homers and 50 RBIs across 168 at-bats.

Ryan Goins (Blue Jays): The shortstop owns a lifetime .624 OPS against right-handers that exceeds his .527 mark vs. lefties. Goins -- who has posted a .347 on-base percentage since Aug. 26 -- could provide cost-effective production at a premium position when he faces Wilson.

Bryce Harper (Nationals): Hitting .334 with 41 homers across 506 at-bats, the outfielder has been arguably the best hitter in baseball this season. Harper could post a game-changing total in DraftKings contests when he brings his lifetime .956 OPS against right-handers (.785 vs. lefties) into a matchup with rookie righty Ryan Weber (5.91 ERA) and a Braves bullpen that ranks last in the Majors with a 4.76 ERA.

Paul Goldschmidt (D-backs): The first baseman typically fares best against left-handers, but he also owns an impressive lifetime .287/.383/.507 slash line against righties. Goldschmidt could produce a game-changing total in DraftKings contests when he bats at his hitter-friendly home park against righty David Hale (6.01 ERA, 1.46 WHIP in 2015) and a Rockies relief corps that ranks 29th in the Majors with a 4.71 ERA.

David Peralta (D-backs): The outfielder -- who has hit .347 with eight homers and 29 RBIs across 176 at-bats since Aug. 1 -- could improve on his lifetime .894 OPS against right-handers (.603 vs. lefties) when he tangles with Hale and a suspect Rockies bullpen. Also of note: Peralta and his teammates will attempt to put balls into play against Colorado squad that ranks 29th in the Majors with a .670 defensive efficiency ratio.

Ender Inciarte (D-backs): This season, the outfielder has produced an .826 OPS against right-handers that exceeds his .530 mark vs. lefties. From his perch atop the lineup, Inciarte could reach base often and score multiple runs at the expense of Hale (career 4.30 ERA, 1.40 WHIP) and the Rockies relief corps. Inciarte could also swipe his 22nd base of the season against inexperienced catcher Dustin Garneau (18 career games played), who is filling in for injured backstop Nick Hundley.

Patrick Corbin (D-backs): With a 3.28 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP across 15 starts, the left-hander has made a successful return from Tommy John surgery. Corbin could have an excellent start when he faces a Rockies lineup that ranks 24th in the Majors with a .676 OPS against southpaws and last in baseball with a .649 OPS on the road.

Derek Holland (Rangers): With a season-to-date 4.99 ERA, the left-hander could be an economical second starter in DraftKings contests when he faces an Angels lineup that ranks 26th in the Majors with a .672 OPS against southpaws.

Jake Odorizzi (Rays): With a 3.49 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP, the right-hander has been one of this season's breakout performers. Odorizzi could thrive when he works at his pitcher-friendly home park against a Marlins lineup that ranks 29th in the Majors with a .682 OPS against righties. He could benefit from working in front of a Rays squad that sits fifth in baseball with a .703 defensive efficiency ratio.

Stephen Strasburg (Nationals): With a 50-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio across his past four starts, the right-hander is one of the hottest starters in baseball. Strasburg may be set to spin a gem when he works at pitcher-friendly Turner Field against a Braves lineup that ranks 28th in the Majors with a .684 OPS against righties and last in baseball with 96 homers.

All statistics are accurate through the completion of Tuesday's games.
