The short-season affiliates for team’s minor leagues are starting up this weekend and the Eugene Emeralds of the Padres organization are coming out of the promotions gate hot. The club is hosting a Beatles Night and the players will be wearing these Beatles-inspired jerseys today. The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game with the proceeds going to Oregon Supported Living Program.

I don’t know about you guys, but I kind of like these. Is that weird? It’s not like I’d wear it once a week, but when the situation calls for it these would be perfect. I’m just having a hard time determining who is on the jersey. Leading the pack is their mascot Sluggo, then an umpire behind him, but then the last two look like they’d be villains in a Scooby Doo episode. That’s probably why I like these so much. Zoinks, indeed.
