Fans take to Twitter to cheer US LLWS champs

The Little Leaguers from Chicago's Jackie Robinson West team have been one of the best stories to come out of the Little League World Series this year, capturing the attention of Major League players, celebrities and baseball fans from across the country.

On Sunday afternoon, the boys from the South Side were again the center of attention on social media before falling to South Korea, 8-4, in the Little League World Series Championship game.

The White Sox voiced their support for the kids, as did President Obama among others:

@whitesox:  #WhiteSox Director of Youth Baseball Initiatives @kevcoe is at the #LLWS championship game rooting on #JRW

Jackie Robinson West had a huge throng of supporters at the game in Williamsport, Pa., but there were many more following from back home at watch parties across Chicago.

There was also a tweet of encouragement from UCLA, Jackie Robinson's alma mater:

As well as many others throughout the afternoon, including a former MLB player.
