Fantasy chat: Where does Piscotty rank?

MLB.com fantasy guru Fred Zinkie fielded questions from fans during a live Twitter chat at @Fantasy411 on Tuesday. Check out the chat transcript below and check out the @Fantasy411 Twitter handle and MLB.com's fantasy home. Questions and answers have been edited for clarity.

@Beldingsbrother: Please rank these players for rest-of-season production: Stephen Piscotty, Cameron Maybin, Nick Markakis, Avisail Garcia, Franklin Gutierrez and Austin Jackson.

Fred Zinkie: Piscotty, Maybin, Garcia, Jackson, Gutierrez, Markakis.

@Scott__Tompkins: In a dynasty league, I'm looking to trade for a starting-pitcher prospect. Do you prefer Tyler Glasnow or Lucas Giolito? And would you rather trade away Carlos Gonzalez or Yasiel Puig?

Zinkie: I prefer Glasnow, and I would trade away Gonzalez.

@ChrisRhude: Please rank in order of projected production for rest of season: Kris Bryant, Freddie Freeman, Mark Teixeira.

Zinkie: I would order them Bryant, Freeman, Teixeira.

@scott_peterson4: For rest-of-season value, please rank Yasmani Grandal, Blake Swihart and Caleb Joseph.

Zinkie: I would order them Grandal, Swihart, Joseph.

@ScottMcNally86: Should I trade Byron Buxton for Francisco Lindor, Jorge Soler and Glasnow? It's an 18-team dynasty, keeping 25 of 30 rostered players.

Zinkie: Buxton has a bright future, but I think you should make that trade.

@theonly1Avenger: Should I drop Teixeira for a healthy Chase Headley, Jonathan Schoop or Lonnie Chisenhall? I am 43 homers ahead of the next team.

Zinkie: You can't afford to wait around for Teixeira. Drop him if you don't have bench space.

@kneedtoknows: Which shortstop is a better keeper option for 2015 at shortstop: Trevor Story or Corey Seager?

Zinkie: Both shortstops could be impact players in 2015, but I will take Seager.

@MarkStormbro: Speculation exists that Jose Berrios and Blake Snell could still get called up in September. If called, would they join the rotation?

Zinkie: My guess is that both would end up in the bullpen, with the potential to make a spot start or two.

@rotologo: Which player do you expect to get more plate appearances down the stretch: Adonis Garcia or Kelby Tomlinson?

Zinkie: I expect Garcia to play more, as Joe Panik should return next week. If Panik was to be delayed, I would prefer Tomlinson.

@glenwarrick4: Please pick five for the rest of the season: A.J. Pollock, Justin Upton, Brandon Belt, Gregory Polanco, Piscotty, Mookie Betts, Billy Hamilton and Khris Davis.

Zinkie: Pollock, Upton, Betts, Belt, Polanco, Piscotty.

@Ynal_Alouri: Who are must-have September callup hitters to pick up now?

Zinkie: Slim pickings this year. Can keep an eye on Javier Baez, Seager, Bradley Zimmer, Joey Gallo.

@baum001: Who would you want for the rest of the season: Miguel Sano or Mike Moustakas? Also, Baez or Brandon Crawford?

Zinkie: Sano and Crawford for sure. Both should fare well in September.

@mosjeffinitely: Should I drop David Wright, Rusney Castillo, Piscotty or Polanco for Alex Gordon?

Zinkie: Tough call. I would drop Castillo if you feel secure in steals. Otherwise, stick with your current group.

@Ynal_Alouri: Pick one for the rest of the season: Arodys Vizcaino, John Axford, Jean Machi or Sean Doolittle.

Zinkie: Vizcaino for sure. He is underrated. Secure role and pitching well.

@theginganinja18: Are Marcus Stroman and Corey Dickerson worth stashing?

Zinkie: They are both worth the stash if you have room. But feel free to drop either if you need the bench spot.

@nicksorce: When is Giancarlo Stanton coming back?

Zinkie: He is hoping to return on Friday. Even if slightly delayed, he should be ready for next week.

@sritsema11: Who would you choose for the rest of the season: Chris Bassitt or Derek Holland?

Zinkie: Because Bassitt is dealing with shoulder soreness, go with Holland.

Video: BAL@TEX: Holland strikes out 11 in shutout victory

@kylereed: What do you expect from George Springer and Maikel Franco for the rest of the season?

Zinkie: I wouldn't expect help from Franco. But I believe that Springer can be a good asset beginning in a few days.

@GR8DERNATION: Would you rather use Daniel Murphy or Anthony Rendon? Also, with Alex Gordon coming off disabled list, should I drop Rusney Castillo or Gerardo Parra?

Zinkie: Rendon. And I would drop Parra.

@TheHotCorner7: Do you have any news on Jose Fernandez after his bullpen session? When will he return?

Zinkie: My best guess is late next week. Maybe another bullpen session, then a simulated game prior to a return.

@28PAGS: Please pick one: Matt Shoemaker, Trevor Bauer, Drew Hutchison, or Hector Santiago.

Zinkie: Four inconsistent arms, but I will go with Bauer.

@gradyboy2: Who would you pick for the rest of the season: Michael Conforto or Domingo Santana?

Video: PHI@NYM: Mets strike first on Conforto's solo shot

Zinkie: I would use Conforto until Lucas Duda returns and then make the switch to Santana.

@badabing075: What impact do you see Steven Matz having for the Mets?

Zinkie: A big one. He should be active in all leagues as soon as he returns.

@ChamTheTruth: Should I drop Hunter Pence for someone off the waiver wire, like Wilmer Flores or Dustin Pedroia?

Zinkie: You can drop Pence if you need a starting player right now. But don't drop him to add someone to your bench.
