MLB.com fantasy guru Fred Zinkie fielded questions from fans during a live Twitter chat at @Fantasy411 on Tuesday. Check out the chat transcript below, and follow the @Fantasy411 Twitter handle and MLB.com's fantasy home. Questions and answers have been edited for clarity.
@jcsaravia05: Who should I keep: Trevor Plouffe, Joey Gallo or Justin Turner?
Zinkie: Keep Turner and Gallo. Plouffe is not a difference-maker in mixed leagues.
@jcsaravia05: Which three pitchers would you rather keep for the rest of the season: Jose Fernandez, Wei-Yin Chen, Ivan Nova or Yovani Gallardo?
Zinkie: I would drop Nova. Fernandez could be a top-10 starter, Chen is solid and Gallardo is hot right now.
@162Thoughts: Who wins this trade: Max Scherzer and Sonny Gray for David Price and Dallas Keuchel?
Zinkie: Scherzer side, because he is on another level right now.
@162Thoughts: Who wins this trade: Steven Matz for Stephen Strasburg.
Zinkie: Strasburg side. Matz is promising, but Strasburg could return to being an ace.
@QuestionsOnly12: In a roto-keeper league, would you trade Anthony Rizzo for Miguel Cabrera? I have a chance to win this year.
Zinkie: I would stick with Rizzo. He could outperform Cabrera the rest of the season, and he has more long-term potential.
@Lock2j: I was offered Cabrera, Julio Teheran and Josh Reddick for Zack Greinke, Adrian Gonzalez and Jay Bruce. I'm weak at pitcher. Should I take the deal?
Zinkie: It's a fair deal, but if you are already weak at pitcher, then stick with Greinke.
@JustB: I'm chasing strikeouts. Who is the best option: Justin Masterson, Jeff Locke, Chase Anderson or Taylor Jordan?
Zinkie: All four pitchers are not difference-makers for strikeouts. But take Anderson, who is the best pitcher in the bunch.
@TroyThibodeaux1: Who wins this trade: Matt Harvey, Reddick and Craig Kimbrel for Keuchel, Joc Pederson and Joakim Soria?
Zinkie: Keuchel side, but it is close.
@GustheDawg: Would you rather own Wilson Ramos or Francisco Cervelli?
Zinkie: I would rather own Ramos. Cervelli can hit for average, but it's a fairly empty average.
@FNTSYenthusiast: Thoughts on Ian Desmond for the rest of the season? Should I drop Addison Russell for him?
Zinkie: I don't see a big turnaround coming. But I would stash him on the bench instead of Russell.
@Waittilthisyear: In a keeper league, would you trade Gerrit Cole for Anthony Rendon and Cole Hamels?
Zinkie: Yes, I would. Rendon could still be an asset this year, and for several years to come.
@mattwhite85: Is Kevin Pillar worth an addition? Who would you drop for him: Cameron Maybin or Billy Butler?
Zinkie: Yes, he can be picked up for Butler.
@EPotter26: Which elite pitcher can I get for Jose Abreu or Andrew McCutchen?
Zinkie: You should be able to get a top-5 starter. Someone such as Felix Hernandez or Chris Sale. You may have to settle for Price.
@andrwprmmr: Who wins a trade of Jonathan Lucroy for Stephen Vogt?
Zinkie: In March I would have said Lucroy, but now I will say Vogt.
@cptbooya: Do you have any guess as to when Corey Seager will make his MLB debut? Should I cut bait with Alexei Ramirez and stash him? I have Carlos Correa as my starting shortstop.
Zinkie: I'm fine with cutting Ramirez for someone who can help now, but I don't think Seager will be up soon.
@kyle7may: I need to drop one of Shelby Miller, Alfredo Simon, Ubaldo Jimenez, Noah Syndergaard or A.J. Burnett.
Zinkie: Drop Simon, who may struggle to regain his early-season level of effectiveness.
@MrART92: Should I trade Josh Reddick for Yoenis Cespedes?
Zinkie: Yes. Reddick has played well in the first half, but Cespedes is a more consistent asset.
@stanhammer1978: What are your thoughts on Miguel Gonzalez and Vincent Velasquez going forward?
Zinkie: Gonzalez should be a consistent back-end starter in mixed leagues. Velasquez could be inconsistent, as he made the jump from Double-A.
@sp_salas: Rusney Castillo is available in my league and I just traded Yasiel Puig for Jake Arrieta. How will Castillo fare in the second half?
Zinkie: Castillo is a smart stash. The Red Sox will likely give him another chance, and he could produce in multiple categories.
@rutpharmknights: Who will have better production across the rest of the season after returning from injury, Justin Morneau or Carl Crawford?
Zinkie: Because Crawford should return sooner, I would rather stash him for second-half production.
