Phillies baseball is back! In celebration of Opening Day presented by Nemours Children’s Health, the team hosted a pep rally at the organization’s Children’s Hospital in Delaware with games and giveaways for patients and families.
During the rally, Phillies announcer Dan Baker and ambassador Milt Thompson surprised 10-year-old Lucas Bibro with a video message from shortstop Trea Turner, inviting him to throw the ceremonial first pitch at Citizens Bank Park — with Turner catching it.
At the game, Bibro fired a strike to officially begin the 2026 season.
