34 community heroes honored at Phillies Charities, Inc. Holiday Reception
On Wednesday night, the Phillies hosted their annual Phillies Charities, Inc. Holiday Reception in the CP Rankin Club at Citizens Bank Park, saluting 34 incredible charitable organizations going above and beyond in the community. The $1.36 million in grants were made as part of the Phillies Season of Giving.
The reception included a special welcome from Phillies Charities, Inc. President Bonnie Clark, along with a musical performance by students from grant recipient Kelly Music for Life, an all-volunteer organization that produces and promotes music and arts events to benefit community.
Special guests included Phillies Manager Partner and Chief Executive Officer John Middleton and his wife Leigh, along with broadcaster Tom McCarthy, who emceed the festivities. So Much to Give Inclusive Café co-founder and director Maureen Stanko also spoke, representing grant honorees.
This year, Phillies Charities, Inc., the charitable arm of the club, awarded a grant total of $2.6 million to local organizations.
