September 26, 2023 – Nationals vs. Orioles
Baltimore honored National Baseball Hall of Famer and Orioles Legend Brooks Robinson with a moment of silence prior to the game. The Orioles went on to beat the Washington Nationals, 1-0. Gunnar Henderson recorded the game’s sole RBI with a leadoff home run in the first inning. Kyle Bradish threw a season-high 8.0 shutout innings, his eighth scoreless start of the year.
September 27, 2023 – Nationals vs. Orioles
The Orioles beat the Nationals, 5-1, to earn their 99th win of the season and drop their magic number to clinch the AL East to one. Adley Rutschman connected on his 20th home run of the year in the third inning and finished the night with a game-high three RBI. Jorge Mateo stole his 30th base of the year, becoming the sixth player in O’s history with back-to-back seasons of at least 30 steals.
September 28, 2023 – Red Sox vs. Orioles
The Orioles beat the Boston Red Sox, 2-0, to clinch the club’s first AL East title since 2014 and record 100 wins for the sixth time in club history. Anthony Santander homered in the first inning to give the Orioles the lead and Heston Kjerstad recorded a pinch-hit RBI in the eighth inning. Dean Kremer extended his career high with his 13th win of the season and Tyler Wells got the save in the win. The Orioles also announced that the club, the State of Maryland, and Maryland Stadium Authority agreed to a new lease, keeping the Orioles in Baltimore for the next 30 years.
September 29, 2023 – Red Sox vs. Orioles
John Means threw 6.1 innings, retiring each of his first 13 batters faced. Jordan Westburg recorded his 17th double of the year, and his seventh this month.
September 30, 2023 – Red Sox vs. Orioles
The Orioles beat the Red Sox, 5-2, to earn their 101st victory of the year and secure the season series win against every American League East team. The Orioles have gone 14 straight series against AL East opponents without a series loss, the longest streak in club history. Gunnar Henderson recorded his 66th extra-base hit with a double in the eighth inning, surpassing Cal Ripken, Jr. for the most extra-base hits by a rookie in O’s history. Henderson also scored his 100th run of the season, becoming the fourth AL rookie since 2002 to score 100 runs, joining NYY’s Aaron Judge (128, 2017), LAA’s Mike Trout (129, 2012), and DET’s Austin Jackson (103, 2010).
October 1, 2023 – Red Sox vs. Orioles
Kyle Bradish lowered his season ERA to 2.83 (53 ER/168.2 IP), becoming the first qualified Orioles pitcher with a sub-3.00 ERA since National Baseball Hall of Famer Mike Mussina in 1992. Bradish pitched to a 2.23 ERA (19 ER/76.2 IP) in 13 starts at Oriole Park this year, the best single-season mark among hurlers with at least 70.0 innings pitched in the history of the ballpark.
