April 7 – Opening Day vs. Yankees
The Orioles rolled out the orange carpet and welcomed fans back to Oriole Park, beating the Yankees, 7-6. The win marked the O’s second-straight Home Opener win, improving to 46-24 in Home Openers in club history. As part of the Home Opener celebrations, the Orioles welcomed Maryland Governor Wes Moore and his children, Mia and James, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, and honored Merrill Heim aka “Fired Up Guy” as Mo Gaba’s Fan of the Year representing the 2022 season.
April 8 – Yankees vs. Orioles
The Orioles presented Ramón Urías with his Gold Glove as part of a pregame ceremony. Urías joined Manny Machado and Orioles Legend and National Baseball Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson as the only third basemen in club history to win the award.
April 9 – Yankees vs. Orioles
April 10 – Athletics vs. Orioles
The O’s beat the A’s, 5-1, and Kyle Gibson earned his third win of the year in his home debut after allowing just one run over 6.1 innings. Ryan Mountcastle, Adley Rutschman, and Austin Hays combined for three home runs, and the Orioles officially introduced “the homer hose” home run celebration, inspired by their days playing outside and drinking out of the hose when they were kids.
April 11 – Athletics vs. Orioles
Grayson Rodriguez made his Camden Yards debut, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings. He struck out Jesús Aguilar on a foul tip in the first inning on a 98.6 mph fastball for his first strikeout at Oriole Park. Ryan Mountcastle went 3-for-4 with two home runs, including a grand slam, and nine RBI. Mountcastle tied a club record and became just the third player in O’s history to record nine RBI in a single game, joining Jim Gentile (5/9/61 at MIN) and Eddie Murray (8/26/85 at CAL). The grand slam traveled 456 feet, the farthest home run of his career. Austin Hays went 4-for-5 with a home run and a double, marking his second game with at least four hits this season.

Adley Rutschman hit his first career walk-off home run as the O’s beat the A’s, 8-7, securing their second series win of the year. Rutschman's home run, which came on a 1-0 count and landed in the right-center field bleachers, extended his hitting streak to a career-high seven games and his on-base streak to 10 games. Austin Hays went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, finishing the series 9-for-17 with two doubles, two homers, eight runs scored, three RBI, and a walk.
