Milwaukee Brewers Front Office Staff Assemble 1,000 Care Kits For American Red Cross Of Wisconsin Through Beyond The Diamond Efforts

11:51 AM EDT

As the 2026 season ramped up, Milwaukee Brewers front office staff dedicated a morning to a cause beyond baseball – supporting individuals facing homelessness and basic needs in the Milwaukee community. Partnering with the American Red Cross of Wisconsin and the Brewers Community Foundation (BCF), staff participated in an All Hands On Deck volunteer event as part of the Brewers Beyond the Diamond initiative. Together, volunteers assembled 1,000 care kits, including 300 emergency kits, 300 homeless veteran kits and 400 first aid kits, which were provided to the American Red Cross for distribution throughout Milwaukee. In addition to the hands-on volunteer effort, BCF awarded a $5,000 grant to the American Red Cross of Wisconsin to support emergency preparedness and basic needs services across the region.

“Brewers Community Foundation is committed to supporting the community in ways that create a lasting and meaningful impact,” said Cecelia Gore, Executive Director of BCF. “The enthusiasm and dedication of our staff volunteers reflect the Brewers organization’s deep commitment to Milwaukee and the people who call it home.”

Kits included Band-Aids, tissues, shampoo, toothpaste, lotion, rain ponchos and many other essential items to support basic needs. Along with the Brewers front office staff, The Famous Racing Sausages® also made an appearance and helped pack kits.

For more than a century, American Red Cross of Wisconsin has provided aid and worked with residents to prepare for emergencies with essential resources and support. Through initiatives like Beyond the Diamond, the Brewers continue to practice community care through meaningful, hands-on engagement.

All Hands On Deck is just one of many community events through #BeyondTheDiamond efforts that Brewers staff and members will contribute to this year, and Brewers Community Foundation will support. Beyond the Diamond highlights the organization’s philanthropic outreach effort with a series of community outreach events that take place from May to August, all of which involve working hands-on in the community with players, coaches, Brewers Families, alumni and front office staff.

BCF harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in the Greater Milwaukee area and throughout Wisconsin. For more than a decade, BCF has generated more than $65 million to support local non-profits in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs. Approximately 200 non-profit organizations receive funding annually throughout the Foundation’s initiatives.
