Players and Celebs Rock Out at Schwarber’s Block Party

Have you ever seen Kyle Schwarber play the bass?

Following Wednesday’s game, Kyle and Paige Schwarber hosted teammates, staff, celebrities and more at Union Transfer for Schwarber’s Block Party, benefiting first responders and military families.

Among the special guests were Impractical Jokers star Murr, and Mt. Joy singer and songwriter Matt Quinn, who performed a set of songs onstage. Quinn was also joined onstage by the Phanatic and Kyle Schwarber, who unveiled his bass-playing talents to the crowd with “Seven Nation Army.”

The event, held to honor and give thanks to local community heroes, also included a live edition of Ryan Dempter’s Off the Mound. The variety show featured interviews with Schwarber, Quinn and Philadelphia Flyers player Garnet Hathaway.

Proceeds from the event, which included live and silent auctions, supported organizations such as Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation, Fort Freedom, The Philadelphia Fire Department Foundation, The Philadelphia Police Foundation, TAPSand Team Foster.
