Scenes & Special Memories from Nemours Children’s Health Childhood Cancer Awareness Night
Local childhood cancer warriors and their families took center stage at an unforgettable evening at the ballpark at last Saturday’s Nemours Children’s Health Childhood Cancer Awareness Night.
This very special event featured heartwarming moments for children battling cancer, beginning with an on-field ceremony that celebrated the courage, patience and resilience of childhood cancer warriors and their families. Taking part were children receiving from Nemours Children’s Hospital, as well as families affiliated with Kisses for Kyle Foundation and Michaels Way, along with players and other members of the Phillies family who have personally been impacted by childhood cancer
Children were also given once-in-a-lifetime experiences, with four-year-old warrior Finnegan (who is celebrating being one-year cancer free on September 16) having the honor of being a ceremonial home run hitter, with help from Kyle Schwarber.
This wonderful Go Gold event was held in partnership with Nemours Children’s Health, the official Children’s Hospital of the Phillies.
