Season of Giving: 14th Annual Food Drive Helps Fight Hunger Across Milwaukee

November 21, 2025

2025 marked the 14th annual Drive-Thru Food Drive at American Family Field. CBS 58, Brewers Community Foundation and Hunger Task Force teamed up to encourage the Milwaukee community to support those in need for Thanksgiving and the holiday season. On November 21, cars arrived early to Helfaer Field to donate turkeys and non-perishable items, including 716 turkeys and 31,000 pounds of food. Since the event’s inception in 2012, approximately 1 million pounds of food has been donated.

“Hunger Task Force continues to be a vital lifeline for so many in our community,” said Executive Director of Brewers Community Foundation Cecelia Gore. “Our partnership with Hunger Task Force and CBS 58 allows us to make a meaningful impact, especially during the holiday season when support and nourishment are needed most.”

Each car that drove through the CBS58 Drive Thru Food Drive received vouchers for tickets to a select 2026 home Brewers game. From 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., hundreds of cars poured in to benefit Hunger Task Force’s efforts to make this holiday season comfortable and memorable one for those in need.

To accompany donations from the Milwaukee community, BCF also made donations of their own including $10,000 each to community partners Hunger Task Force, Nourish MKE and Feeding America, which helped provide 330,000 meals to individuals and families in need. About 200 non-profits receive funding each year through the Brewers Community Foundation.

“BCF is deeply connected to the needs of our community, and while we regularly support our local food banks, we are proud to contribute additional financial resources during this critical time of year,” said Cecilia Gore.

Winter brings difficult challenges to those in need throughout Wisconsin. For more than a decade, Brewers Community Foundation has been a pillar of support in the Greater Milwaukee Area and throughout Wisconsin, generating more than $60 million to non-profits, and hundreds of thousands of meals to families in need.
