Free agent Minor Leaguer James suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that free agent Minor League left-handed pitcher Chad James has received a 100-game suspension without pay after a second positive test for Amphetamine, a stimulant in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, as well as a third positive test for a drug of abuse.

The suspension of James will be effective immediately upon his signing with another Major League organization.
