We’ve seen some great marketing efforts from minor league clubs so far this season, and I think we’ve got a new frontrunner.

San Francisco Giants Triple-A affiliate Fresno is going all-out for their “Star Wars” night this weekend.

The Grizzlies will wear these sweet Storm Trooper jerseys on Saturday.

Additionally, they’ve altered their logo for the event to feature a light saber instead of a bat, and the team filmed a slew of awesome promo videos.

Fresno is hosting the New York Mets Triple-A affiliate, the Las Vegas 51s. I’m feeling pretty good about Fresno's chances – in my experience, The Dark Side always loses.
