Hunter Pence Throws Bat at Ball, Gets a Hit

Hunter Pence tried a different approach to hitting on Thursday: throwing the bat at the ball. Rather than hold on to the bat through his swing, he threw it at a pitch, and came away with an RBI single.

It seems like Pence inspired his teammates, as Jake Peavy took the same approach later in the game. Unfortunately for Peavy, he didn't hit the ball ... but he did hit a player.

This was par for the course for Pence. It seems like everything he does is hilarious.
