Jesus Montero placed on suspended list
Montero was recalled from rehab assignment to Seattle on Friday.
SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jack Zduriencik announced today the following roster move:
- Jesus Montero, INF, placed on the suspended list.
Montero, 24, was recalled from his rehabilitation assignment on Friday following a verbal altercation with a Mariners scout at a Northwest League game.
Zduriencik announced on Friday that Montero would not play for the remainder of the 2014 season, and would instead focus on off-field issues.
