Julio Franco Signs as a Player/Coach with Independent League Team

Julio Franco played Major League Baseball for 23 years, retiring in 2007 at the ago of 49. Now, seven years later, Franco is returning to professional baseball. The Fort Worth Cats announced that Franco will be joining the team as a player/coach for the first homestand of the 2014 season.

Franco joins Tracy McGrady on the list of most interesting Independent League players in 2014.
