June Japanese Highlights Video

This video is a bunch of highlights from the month of June in the Japanese league and I love it. I’ve spent a week in Japan, but I have never wanted to speak Japanese more than right now. I need to know what the announcers are saying. Everything is so dramatic. If you closed your eyes and just listened, you’d think they were calling the last hundred yards of a tight horse race or something. My favorite part of the video by far is where the guy trying to score dances around the catcher and winds up safe. Unreal footwork. Also, the fields are incredible. There’s like no traditional field. All dirt infields, all turf outfields. All turf everything minus the mound. All turf everything minus the mounds and around the bases. They’re all incredible.
