Kirk Nieuwenhuis broke camp with the New York Mets this spring, but a 2-for-16 start to his 2013 campaign found him down at Triple-A Las Vegas just a few weeks into the season.

Old Kirky is still struggling at the plate with the 51s in their inaugural year as a Mets affiliate, but he’s flashing leather at a big-league clip.
