Louisville Slugger Renames a Bat in Honor of Derek Jeter
Now that's a tribute.
It's not just teams and players that have been paying their respects to Derek Jeter. Louisville Slugger is as well. The famous bat company has been making Jeter's bat - model P72 - for the Captain's entire career. So with Jeter hanging up his cleats, Louisville Slugger is hanging up the P72's cleats as well: from this day forward, the popular bat model will be named the DJ2.
