Mariners Turn Back the Clock
The Seattle Mariners, ahem, Seattle Turks, turned back the clock Saturday to celebrate the 1909 Northwestern League team that won 109 games.
We're headed to the early 1900s on Turn Back the Clock Day, Saturday, 6/29 vs. Cubs. Tix: http://t.co/lOtaHJJGCn pic.twitter.com/VpzDHJ7Fq4

The Mariners spared no expense getting into character for the game against the Chicago Cubs, going so far as to change their Twitter name and profile, and even tweeting in the tone of the early 1900s.
It looks like the social media department for the Mariners had a bunch of fun with this one. Hopefully it sets a precedent for other teams as Major League Baseball continues to find clever ways to implement social media into their product.
A little tickling of the ivories during the 7th inning stretch. #TurnItBack https://t.co/c7XdCccCOa

The Cubs promise to make for a lively contest, but we're strong for the Turks on this one. #TurnItBack pic.twitter.com/SgZ7JyIJi1
