Mike Trout Featured In GQ

Let’s get this out of the way because I know everybody is thinking it: That looks like the most comfortable outfit a person could possibly wear. Just sweats and cotton and warmth and comfort. Grade A lounging material right there. It’s probably what Trout wears everyday and I’m not at all surprised by this. It’s Mike Trout. The term “expect the unexpected” certainly applies here. Nothing he does can surprise you anymore.

Anyway, Trout was featured in the March 2013 issue of GQ. The piece talks about his offseason, becoming a star and his hometown of Millville. But the thing that stuck out to me the most was that he’s moving to Newport Beach for this season. I love Newport. I’ve spent many nights there. Actually just typing about Newport makes me miss it. And to think Trout will be residing there this season raises my heart rate and I’m not sure why. Like, is he going to go to my favorite burger place? Or my favorite bar? Or will he be hanging around the pier at all?

I’m not saying that if I was at home in Orange County this season I’d stay at these places for the better part of a day hoping he’d show up, but at the same time I’m not saying I wouldn’t either. I’m not sure what I’d do in that situation. Expect the unexpected.
