Minor League Team Wins on Intentional Walk

Watch this wild finish to an Eastern League (Double-A) matchup between the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins affiliate) and New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays).

Trying to setup a force at every base with two outs in the last frame, Fisher Cats reliever Alan Farina airmailed ball four, allowing the game-winning run to score.

If you take your head out of the game for one pitch, all sorts of mayhem can ensue.

My guess is that never happens to Farina ever again. Sometimes you’ve just got to learn the hard way.
