Major League Baseball presents theme days and giveaways for T-mobile All-Star Fanfest in Minneapolis
Major League Baseball announced that T-Mobile All-Star FanFest will feature a theme and corresponding giveaway each day from July 11-15 at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis. All giveaway terms and conditions can be found at AllStarGame.com.
Friday, July 11 – Opening Day/Kids Day
To begin All-Star Week, children will be included in the Opening Ceremonies of T-Mobile All-Star FanFest, by singing the National Anthem, interviewing legends through social media contests, meeting MLB team mascots and more. In addition, T-Mobile All-Star FanFest “MVP” kids will be selected at random and will receive promotional items from each day of T-Mobile All-Star FanFest, a T-Mobile JUMP! Lane Pass and a t-shirt. The first 1,000 eligible children aged 12 and under will also receive a free TC Mini Bobblehead.
Saturday, July 12 – Go “Green” Day
Go “Green” Day at T-Mobile All-Star FanFest will showcase “green” activities and efforts by the city of Minneapolis, Major League Baseball, the Minnesota Twins, the Minneapolis Convention Center and more. Additionally, there will be a cell phone recycling program and random prizing throughout the day for fans practicing “green” acts on the show floor. The first 1,000 eligible fans will receive a free reusable bag.
Sunday, July 13 – Family Wellness Day
Family Wellness Day at T-Mobile All-Star FanFest will feature activities promoting wellness that both children and parents can enjoy together. Families can learn yoga together and kids can participate in a “Baseball Fit Camp” on the T-Mobile Diamond, where they’ll learn fundamentals and training aspects of baseball through agility drills, conditioning and strength training. In addition, fans will get the chance to watch the Taco Bell Legends & Celebrity Softball Game participants warm-up and prepare for the game later that day. The first 1,000 eligible children aged 12 and under will receive a free collapsible water bottle.
Monday, July 14 – Milestone Monday
Milestone Monday will be a celebration of important dates in Minnesota Twins and Minneapolis history, including the 1991 and 1994 World Series Champion Twins teams. Twins legends from both World Series teams will be available to talk about their championship seasons, sign autographs and answer questions from fans. Attendees will be encouraged to join in celebrating the history of the Twin Cities by sharing personal memories and photos of historical moments via social media. The first 1,000 eligible fans will receive a free Tony Oliva Mini Bobblehead.
Tuesday, July 15 – Tribute Tuesday
Tribute Tuesday will honor local heroes of the Twin Cities throughout the day. Heroes include teachers, service men and women, community leaders or a local neighbor who has done outstanding work in his/her community. Fans will be encouraged to post images of their personal heroes via social media. The first 1,000 eligible fans will receive a free Joe Mauer Mini Bobblehead.
