MLBFC Facebook Fans Choose The Greatest

Thousands of men have played the great game of baseball at its highest level. And, since the introduction of organized professional baseball, fans have debated which of those men was the greatest player to ever grace the earth.

Championships and individual statistics are the primary criteria that fans use when making an argument for their selected player, but it is a complex topic. Indeed, when factoring in the context of ballpark, era and rule changes, there is a lot to think about.

On Friday, we asked our fans to weigh in on this topic on Facebook, writing, “The greatest player in baseball history is _________.”

Babe Ruth is getting support globally in this debate.

Shannon clearly has a special connection to Stan Musial.

Russ Goble makes a compelling argument for Jackie Robinson.
