Tickets for the New Era Pinstripe Bowl Game will go on sale to the general public today, Tuesday, June 15, at noon at pinstripebowl.com, yankees.com and ticketmaster.com.

Fans purchasing tickets before September 8, 2010, for the inaugural college football bowl game at Yankee Stadium, can take advantage of special early-bird pricing, which will start at $30.

Fans are encouraged to visit pinstripebowl.com for additional ticket information, access to up-to-the-moment information regarding the game and to sign up as a volunteer.

The New Era Pinstripe Bowl Game will be held at Yankee Stadium on December 30, 2010, with kickoff tentatively scheduled for 3:20 p.m. The event, featuring a matchup between teams from the Big East Conference and Big 12 Conference, will be nationally televised by ESPN, which has also secured national and local radio rights for ESPN Radio.

The New Era Pinstripe Bowl has a four-year title-sponsorship agreement with headwear and apparel manufacturer New Era Cap Company, Inc. The game's supporting sponsors are Benjamin Moore and the Tri-State Ford Dealers.

The contest will mark the first NCAA football bowl game in the Bronx since the Gotham Bowl on December 15, 1962, when Nebraska edged Miami (Fla.), 36-34, at the original Yankee Stadium. From the year it opened in 1923, the original Yankee Stadium played host to a number of college football games - the New Era Pinstripe Bowl will continue this storied tradition.
