Nick Swisher on Father's Day

Nick Swisher was recently voted as having one of the top personalities in baseball on MLB Player Poll. He's the type of player who gives it his all while showing a goofy side, making it easy for fans to either love or hate him. With that said, after watching this father's day Dick's Sporting Goods video, it's near impossible not to love him. My heart melted as he talked about playing basketball with his father, and how he understood all the sacrifices his father made the moment his daughter was born.

"When I was six years old, I told my dad I want to play in the Big Leagues just like he did," Swisher said. His father responded by telling him he’d have to work hard and evidently he did just that, becoming a star outfielder for the Cleveland Indians.

That said, with the pride he takes in having a daughter, and the advice he's learned from his dad, it's evident that Swisher is an even better father.
