Pascal Dupuis Shoots First Pitch

I love seeing new ways to throw out a first pitch. And the Pirates AA affiliate, The Altoona Curve, didn’t disappoint! They got Pittsburgh Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis to not throw out the first pitch, but shoot it! Dupuis’ wrist shot ricocheted off the mask of the female goalie, but I’m calling it a strike!

The team also wore replica 1990s Penguins throwback jerseys which were auctioned off after the game for local charities. The team called the event #SuperDuper (based off of Dupuis’ name) and you can bet that it was!
