After a slow start to the season, Tampa Bay Rays Manager Joe Maddon wanted his team to relax. While some managers would suggest a captain team meeting, give his teammates a slightly later call time in the morning, or provide music and/or refreshments for his players, Maddon had a different idea. During the past week, the Rays have welcomed into the clubhouse a DJ, magician, exotic bird and a penguin!

Before Wednesday’s game against the New York Yankees, a penguin named Cliff strolled leisurely around the Rays' clubhouse and even got a chance to sit in Maddon’s chair. What makes this story even more interesting, though, is that later in the evening the Rays defeated the Yankees, 3-0. It appears as though the Rays may just have a new mascot…
