Pipeline Preview: Gausman, Romero to duel in Norfolk

If you're looking for eggs this Easter holiday -- goose eggs on Minor League scoreboards, that is -- you'll have to rely on a reduced slate of games Sunday to get it done.

It will be quite the hunt with five full-season leagues not playing on Easter Sunday. But there are still some marquee pitching matchups listed below that have the chance to showcase some of those zeroes you might be craving.

Durham at Norfolk, an International League tilt featuring Baltimore's Kevin Gausman -- the No. 30 overall prospect on MLB.com's Top 100 list -- and Rays No. 5 prospect Enny Romero, might be the best MiLB.TV game to watch. That begins at 1:05 p.m. ET.

Red-hot Micah Johnson, who reached base five times on Saturday and swiped three bases to double his season total, will take his hacks against top Cubs pitching prospect (No. 40 overall) C.J. Edwards. That 6 p.m. game can also be viewed on MiLB.TV.

Mets fans who want to see if Jacob deGrom is ready to help out the big league staff should tune in for Las Vegas' game at 3:05 p.m. The right-hander has allowed just one earned run all year and has tossed 10 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings. He'll face a Padres Top 20 prospect in Keyvius Sampson.

Top prospect probables:

Andrew Heaney (Marlins No. 1), Jacksonville vs. Daniel Corcino (Reds No. 11), Pensacola
Lucas Sims (Braves No. 1), Lynchburg vs. Potomac
Gausman (Orioles No. 2), Norfolk vs. Romero (Rays No. 5), Durham
Edwin Escobar (Giants No. 2), Fresno vs. Reno
