PSAL title game to be played at Yankee Stadium

The New York Yankees and the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) will hold a press conference on Wednesday, November 30, at 10:00 a.m., at Yankee Stadium to announce that the 2011 PSAL Championship football game will be played at Yankee Stadium.

The title game will be held on Tuesday, December 6, at 5:00 p.m. between two Brooklyn High Schools: Abraham Lincoln High School (12-0) of Coney Island and Erasmus Hall High School (9-3) of Flatbush.

Head coaches and team captains from both schools are scheduled to attend along with the Department of Education's Chief Executive for School Support Services Eric Goldstein and PSAL Executive Director Donald Douglas.

This year's contest marks the second consecutive season that the PSAL title game will be played at Yankee Stadium. On December 7, 2010, Fort Hamilton High School of Brooklyn defeated Abraham Lincoln High School, 8-6, for the PSAL championship.
