Reds Fan Catches Back-To-Back Home Runs

They say lightning doesn't strike the same spot twice. But what about home run balls?

Cincinnati Reds fan Caleb Lloyd learned first hand Monday night that it is indeed possible to catch two home runs during the same game from the very same seat. Lloyd almost turned down the tickets, wanting to stay home to play MLB 2K12 instead. Thankfully for the 20-year-old college student, he made the right decision and joined his friend at Great American Ball Park, making some history of his own.

Lloyd was in left field when Reds pitcher Mike Leake blasted his first career home run into the stands and directly at Lloyd, who barehanded the ball. Minutes later, shortstop Zack Cozart hit another homer to the same spot. After bouncing off a few outstretched hands, the ball found itself into Lloyd's empty palm - his other hand, of course, still clutching Leake's ball.

A true fan, Lloyd returned the first ball to the Reds so they could commemorate Leake's homer. He also gave Cozart's ball to his friend, a small thank you for the last minute ticket offer.
