Baker eager to see what club can do before giving signs

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Friday was the Cactus League opener for the Reds against the Indians, but Reds manager Dusty Baker didn't plan on executing regular season strategies in the early going.

"Just go play. I won't even probably give signs early," Baker said Friday morning. "You find out who can hit 3-0, who has discipline, who knows how to steal. Let's go play and then I'll draw back the reins in on what you've shown me what to do."
