Relive The Magical Summer of 1990!

The Reds Hall of Fame and Museum's exhibit tribute to the 1990 World Champion Reds presented by Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers is open daily through the baseball season and is free with paid Museum admission.

The 1990 Reds were a team that was given little chance of competing when the season began and proceeded to stay in first place from Opening Day until season's end. Their journey through the postseason culminated with one of the great upsets in World Series history as the Reds, underdogs once again to the defending World Champion A's, quickly and decisively dispatched Oakland in a stunning four-game sweep.

In 2010, the Reds Hall of Fame celebrates the 1990 Reds with an exciting, interactive exhibit that brings the remarkable story of that season to life. From the dominance of the Nasty Boys to the base-throwing fury of manager Lou Piniella to the nearly unhittable World Series pitching of Jose Rijo and everything in between, the exhibit brings back the memories of 1990 like never before.

Visitors to the exhibit are transported back to 1990 to experience the sights and sounds of the season and of the '90 Reds home ballpark, Riverfront Stadium. A recreation of the Stadium's scoreboard captures a key moment in the 1990 World Series and classic recordings of game action and recreations of some of the most memorable public address recordings by then-public address announcer John Braude fill the exhibit space.

At the center of the gallery space is a recreation of Riverfront Stadium itself. This nearly 12-ft tall homage to the Stadium serves as the primary display space for the numerous game-used artifacts and pieces of period memorabilia that the Museum has collected. The cases on the exterior of the Riverfront recreation tell the story of the members of the 1990 team position-by-position. Inside the recreation, the story of the 1990 postseason is explored through the largest assemblage of 1990 postseason artifacts ever put on public display, including the 1990 World Series trophy.

Additional exhibit highlights include a graphic timeline that tracks the Reds' historic wire-to-wire run to the championship, a special feature on how the 1990 team was built and dismantled and a Jersey Wall that features a game-worn jersey from each of the 46 individuals who appeared in uniform for the Reds that season. At the center of the jersey wall is a life-size reproduction of the 1990 Reds team photograph that offers a unique photo opportunity that allows visitors to be part of the team.

All of this plus a new film dedicated to the 1990 team that shows daily in the Hall of Fame theater makes this exhibit an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages.
