Restaurant Pays Tribute to Chipper

The Chipper Jones farewell tour is almost coming to a close. Along the way, Chipper has been receiving some pretty gnarly stuff from opposing clubs just to honor the man. Some gifts include a custom surfboard from the Padres, a Braves flag that flew over Wrigley and even the Red Sox gave Chipper the No. 10 from the Green Monster. My gift got lost in the mail Chipper. However, a New York staple in the baseball community is actually giving Chipper one delicious gift.

Foley's Pub & Restaurant is probably one of the most iconic baseball restaurants in New York. Located next to the Empire State Building, Foley's provides patrons with a mecca of baseball memorabilia. Ranging from signed baseballs to old stadium chairs, and even bottles from various World Series Champions, Foleys is the one stop Pub for anyone in town for a Yankees/Mets game or just any sport fan in general. Shaun Clancy, Foley's Owner, wanted to honor Chipper Jones by re-naming this beloved restaurant after the man constantly in a turtleneck. From September 7-9, Foley's will be re-named “Chipper’s” and is offering 10 different way’s of serving chips (which are fries here in the states IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW).

Some of the new chips that will be served are…

Poutine (Chips with cubes of mozzarella and gravy)

Disco Chips (Chips and Gravy)

Tex-Mex Chips (Chips with Guac and salsa)

Mountain Of Chips (Chips with mozzarella, cheddar, and bacon)

And a ton more!

If you happen to be in the NYC area, make sure you head down to Chipper’s Pub and Restaurant. Maybe they’ll have the Chipper tackle on Eric Kratz on a loop in the bar.
