DWF scores strike with bowling event

New York, N.Y. -- The David Wright Foundation held its second annual Kids' Event on Sept. 6, 2007, at 300 New York at Chelsea Piers.

This foundation funded event benefited kids from the PBA 9/11, NYU NICU Continuing Care Program, Variety the Children's Charity, Madison Square Boys & Girls Club -- Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse and The Navy Yard Club House. The 40-lane, state-of-the-art bowling facility in Manhattan was perfect to accommodate the smiling faces of the 175 kids who arrived ready for a night of fun, food, and bowling!

David Wright and Mr. Met were on hand to entertain and take pictures with the kids. "It is always so much fun to hang out with the kids and see everyone having a great time," David said as he posed for a picture with two adoring young fans.

The growing event was a great success due to all the hard work of the volunteers and generous contributions by Vitamin Water, Unique Balloons, the New York Mets and 300 New York.

The sounds of falling pins faded and the kids made their way to the door to find a gift bag waiting for them. Donations by the METS, Sababa Toys, Gamewear, Bubbalicious, Topps, ESPN Zone, 300 New York and Alex Toys made it possible to provide each kid with a goodie bag filled with treats and souvenirs, an event t-shirt and two METS tickets for Sunday's game at Shea.

Special thanks to everyone who donated their time to make this event such a success, to 300 New York for all their hard work and to Mark Levine for the photography.

Thanks again to everyone who was involved in making this event so special. We look forward to your future support for our charitable efforts and the continued growth of the foundation!
