Two Minor League Players Suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Free agent Minor League pitcher Michael Hart has received a 50-game suspension after a second violation for a drug of abuse.  The suspension of Hart is effective immediately upon his signing with a Major League organization.  

Free agent Minor League pitcher Steven Shell has received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol.  The suspension of Shell is effective immediately upon his signing with a Major League organization.
