Two Minors players receive suspensions

Major League Baseball suspended Minor League players David Wendt and Bryan Henry on Monday for violating the league's drug prevention program. Henry, a free-agent catcher, and Wendt, a catcher in the Rays' Minor League system, will both serve 50-game suspensions without pay for testing positive for Methylhexaneamine.
Henry, 23, struggled last year, notching a .172/.273/.172 slash line with zero home runs for the Class A Visalia Rawhide. Wendt had one of his stronger seasons in '13 with a .276/.333/.397 line for the Double-A Montgomery Biscuits.
Wendt's suspension will be effective at the start of next season, while Henry's would be effective immediately after he signs with his next Major League club.
