What to watch: Price, Salazar face off

Division-rival Tigers, Tribe clash in Cleveland; Archer takes aim at Blue Jays

More than half the teams in baseball had the day off Monday, so fans across the country will be thrilled to see a full 15 games on the docket Tuesday. There's plenty in store, with everything from Interleague play to aces taking the hill and some rivalry matchups.

Here are five games to look forward to today:

Rivals meet: DET @ CLE, 7:10 p.m. ET
Two teams trying to make a move in the American League Central match up, with David Price squaring off against Danny Salazar. Both starters had their last outing stalled because of rain delays, so they should have plenty in the tank for this showdown.

Winning ways: TOR @ TB, 7:10 p.m. ET
Chris Archer has done nothing but win since May 7 (his last loss, against the Rangers) and he takes that streak into a showdown against the division rival Blue Jays. Archer has five wins in his past seven starts.

Reds rookie debuts: CIN @ PIT, 7:05 p.m. ET
The Reds will replace an ace with a rookie Tuesday, with Josh Smith being called up from Triple-A Louisville to make his Major League debut in place of Johnny Cueto. According to the team, Cueto -- who is 18-4 lifetime against the division-rival Pirates -- was scratched to allow him additional rest before starting Friday. Smith, a 2010 Draft selection, was 4-4 with a 3.04 ERA in the Minors this season.

Going streaking: ATL @ WAS, 7:05 p.m. ET
The two teams that own the longest winning streaks in baseball (three games) are division rivals who will butt heads in this series opener. As an added bonus, the speculation is that Stephen Strasburg will be activated from the disabled list to start against Braves left-hander Alex Wood.

Falling farther? NYM @ MIL, 8:10 p.m. ET
A five-game losing streak has dropped the Mets a game and a half back of the Nationals in the National League East, and they're in danger of now moving into third place with the Braves on their heels (two games back of first place). Jon Niese gets the ball against Mike Fiers in the series opener in Milwaukee.
