Magallanes 11, Caribes 2
Magallanes continued its dominance in the Championship Series on Saturday night, taking a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven set. Robinson Chirinos led Magallanes with a pair of solo home runs, while Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval belted a three-run homer, Phillies shortstop Ronny Cedeno added a two-run shot, and A's infielder Alberto Callaspo went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Twins infielder Eduardo Escobar went deep for Caribes, as did Oscar Salazar. Box score

Puerto Rican League

Mayaguez 2, Caguas 1
Mayaguez rallied late for the second straight game, taking a 3-2 advantage in the Championship Series. Brewers catcher Martin Maldonado led the comeback, scoring on a groundout by Daniel Ortiz in the top of the seventh to tie the game, then giving Mayaguez the lead in the eighth with a sacrifice fly. Caguas collected 10 hits but managed just one run on an RBI groundout by Ramon Castro in the second inning. Box score

Mexican Pacific League

Navojoa 7, Hermosillo 3
Navojoa scored four runs in the first inning and three more in the seventh to knot the Championship Series at 2-2. All nine starters for Navojoa had at least one hit, including two-run homers from Rolando Acosta, John Lindsey and Jon Weber. Jerry Owens launched a solo shot for Hermosillo. Jose Lugo earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief. Hermosillo starter Edgar Osuna recorded just two outs and allowed four runs to take the loss. Box score
