Yankees Will Retire Joe Torre's Number
Well deserved.
The Yankees have announced that they will retire Joe Torre's No. 6. Torre managed the Bronx Bombers from 1996-2007, winning four World Series championships. He'll be honored with a plaque in Monument Park along with Goose Gossage, Tino Martinez and Paul O'Neill.
