Yu Darvish Five Pitches Gif

I know it’s been a few days since this Yu Darvish gif was created, but I cannot stop staring at it. After minutes of watching the same thing over and over again, I’m fully convinced that Darvish could really pitch five balls at the same time – he’s a magician. Ok maybe that’s not the point of the gif but it is spectacular to see the five different pitches he utilized during his dominant start against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim this past week.

As if there wasn’t already enough hype on his starts after the near perfect game, this gif has added even more excitement. His delivery and release point for all five pitches are nearly identical. And to think that he still has three more pitches in his repertoire should make any opposing team fearful of being gif-ed*.

Darvish has been incredible this season. I cannot wait to see what he does next.

*Watching Pujols strike out repeatedly in slow-mo is an added bonus.
